We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Specialty Doctor to join the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Unit based at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who is available to work full time. The post holder will join our present compliment of 2 consultants, 1 Speciality doctors, 1 associate specialist and 3 DF2. There is an on-site dental laboratory and dedicated nursing and administrative support. The department at Wexham Park hospital provides a comprehensive oral & maxillofacial surgery (OMFS) diagnostic and treatment service to a local population of approximately 350,000 and is linked with the Regional OMFS unit at Northwick Park hospital, Harrow in a 'hub and spoke' fashion. Out patient clinics are held at Wexham Park hospital, Slough, Heatherwood hospital, Ascot, King Edward hospital, Windsor and St Marks's hospital, Maidenhead and Frimley Park Hospital in the future. Day surgery under general anaesthetic is carried out at Wexham Park and Heatherwood hospitals. Minor oral surgery under local anaesthetic is carried out mainly at Wexham Park hospital and also at Heatherwood hospital. All elective In-patient and emergency admissions are accommodated at Northwick Park hospital. The successful candidates must possess full registration with the General Dental Council and must have BDS or MBBS or equivalent fully registered with GDC or GMC.
