We are seeking compassionate and reliable CNAs & HHAs to join our growing team! In this position you will perform various personal care and support services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. Frequent travel to client homes is required with mileage reimbursement. Employment is per-diem based on client needs and caregiver availability. Duties include, but are not limited to: Light housekeeping tasks, changing of bed linens and laundry Assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene and skin care Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues Planning and preparing nutritious meals and feeding assistance, if necessary Take and record oral, rectal and auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (within the training limitations of the personal care assistant) Assistance with self-administration of medication and appointment reminders Assist in ambulation and exercise according to the service delivery plan Report client’s condition and significant changes to the assigned care coordinator or supervisor and adhere to documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct Qualifications: Valid Florida Certified Nurse Assistant OR Certified Home Health Aide Possess and maintains current CPR certification Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document services provided Self-directed with the ability to work with little direct supervision Has empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and impaired Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and organization requirements and is in good working order OR Must maintain a safe and efficient method of transportation aimed at arriving to work as scheduled Pre-employment background check and drug test required Must have a smartphone to utilize mobile applications for secure patient information Alexa Home Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived, race, religion, color, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, parental status, national origin, age, disability, family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, any other non-merit based factor or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
