The Medical Assistant supervises, directs, and monitors the clinical care assigned to her / him. The Medical Assistant administers medications, vaccines and performs related duties. The Medical Assistant must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population Requirements: *** MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE *** QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION High School graduate Medical Assistant diploma LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION CPR TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Previous experience preferred, but not required Ability to communicate effectively Ability to interact courteously and tactfully with patients, Physicians, staff, management, volunteers and contract employees. Ability to triage patients, perform CLIA waved tests, administer vaccinations and injections under supervision of a Physician.
