QVIA is looking for a Medical Project Advisor to join our Medical and Patient Communications team. In this key role, you will have the opportunity to combine your strategic thinking, therapeutic expertise, and creative approach to serve as the scientific lead for a range of solutions. Our activities include medical affairs (scientific platforms, publications, advisory boards, educational symposia, medical science liaison support, medical information), market access communications (global and country-level value dossiers, value communications, and business cases), real world evidence and clinical pathways communications, promotional activities (concepts, campaigns, training, and creative materials across multiple channels), behavioral-based patient support programs, and technology solutions. PURPOSE Plan, execute and measure multi-regional project activities and programmes that meet client objectives and satisfaction as directed by account lead, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget. Ensure that all project work is completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies and practices. Maintain and support growth of existing business as assigned by providing operational support of project delivery and collaboration with internal departments and external vendors involved in project delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES Work with senior client services team members and other internal teams contributing to the development and delivery of high quality programmes that meet the needs of customers With account / project lead, act as day to day client contact as appropriate. Participate in face to face meetings, telephone conferences and day to day telephone calls as appropriate. Provide senior onsite project management support as required Participate or lead, as appropriate, account / project team meetings. Monitoring project delivery teams on all aspects of project activities, ensuring the delivery of projects to agreed specification and quality within budget and timescales. Provide regular updates to Account / Project Director as required. Tactical delivery on all aspects of project briefing, planning, scheduling, budgets and resourcing; in collaboration with Account / Project Director review execution plans for all deliverables to ensure they meet the objectives of the client and are relevant to their target audiences. Ensure final sign-off on all projects before they go to client and or into production. Ensure the completion of set up and maintenance of all project documentation files and records, internal databases, tracking systems, and project plans with project specific information With account lead, maintain and monitor project finances for allocated accounts, including tracking of servicing levels and reporting on profitability. Ensure regular updates provided to Account / Project Director Contribute to growth of existing accounts by supporting senior account team on operational resources required for each target account. Propose appropriate executional strategy / solution to account team for delivery of potential new business initiatives. Review and refine account / project processes and take responsibility for identifying new approaches / systems to improve efficiency and delivery of client work and Quintiles operations Prepare presentation materials as appropriate and participate in operational aspects of proposal development and sales / proposal presentations; attend presentations as required Delegate and brief in activities to team members as appropriate; coach and support the development of Project Managers, Senior Project Executives, Project Executives and Project Coordinators as appropriate. Assist in monitoring workloads and development opportunities of junior team members and flag to senior staff as appropriate Train and mentor junior project management staff. Provide input to line manager of their project team member’s performance relative to project tasks. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Good knowledge of all aspects of key project management services including but not limited to live event logistics and technical support, design and production and digital and online Experience working in a highly matrixed organisation and leading and participating in teams Demonstrated ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain demanding timelines. Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities Proven client handling skills Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities. Flexible personality and a quick learner who operates with a sense of urgency Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including customer service and supplier management skills Strong finance skills Good problem solving skills Strong analytical skills and ability to translate analysis to executable programs with defined goals. Must be able to articulate straightforward and elegant solutions Strong organisational, planning, project management and logistics skills Sound judgement and decision making skills Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics Strong software and computer skills, including MS Office applications Good knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance Mentoring / coaching skills MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Relevant bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years project management experience within the pharmaceutical industry or agency environment; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers. Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech.
